Aldi Local Balham: flexing the standard Aldi proposition to suit the London market

Aldi launched its first trial Local store in March 2019 in Balham, South London. Aldi has emphasised this is not a move to expand into convenience. Instead, it is a response to the challenges of operating in London, with a lack of the larger sites with car parks.
